| With regards to REDiSAFE Housekeeping |
|
| Q |
In the event where the original file on the PC is deleted, for how long does REDiSAFE keep the file before deleting it away? |
| A |
REDiSAFE do not delete files that are deleted from the PCs or notebooks. It does not synchronize the folder. It will increasingly put in newer files each time it backup. To remote files from the server, user needs to use the User Housekeep Function to clean up the files that he wishes to remove from the backup storage.
In short, the housekeep function for the server and the user is two different action altogether. |

| Q |
What do you mean by “Recover a virus-free version of an infected file in the event of Virus Attack”, as indicated in your brochure? |
| A |
REDiSAFE does incremental backup of files that has been changed over time. When a file is infected by virus, in most cases, user may lose the data because most backup solution only backup one copy of files. Since REDiSAFE does incremental backup, multiple copies of files will be saved. Users can simple chose to recover an earlier version of file that is virus-free and store it back to the notebook or PC. When REDiSAFE restore, it will never overwrite the original files. It will only add a time stamp to the file and disable its extension. |
