With regards to REDiSAFE Deployment & Technical Requirements
Q Where do we install the plug-in?
A

Users need not self-manage the location of the plug-in. By activating the provided installer, the installer will determine where the plug-in is to be installed.

For Lotus Notes, the plug-in is installed on the individual user’s current working mailbox (NSF).

For Outlook, the plug-in works different on REDiSAFE Guardian and REDiSAFE Guardian Plus.
For REDiSAFE Guardian, the plug in is installed as a component inside Microsoft Outlook™.
For REDiSAFE Guardian Plus, email backup is no longer using a plug-in. The REDiSAFE Email Backup solution is a stand-alone application.

 
Q
If we have more than one server, do we need to install multiple plug-in?
A

No. There is no need to install multiple plug-in.
Q

What is the bandwidth required for REDiSAFE Remote Server?
A For normal use, REDiSAFE recommends at least a 1.5MB line.
Q

Can we have a push down policy for software installation?
A

Yes. This is provided you are using some kind of software management server like Radius or MS Software Update Services.
